Spaced Review for Grammar: Bringing Useful Sentences Back at the Right Time

Spaced repetition is often explained as a vocabulary tool, but language learners do not only forget words. They also forget sentence patterns, question forms, agreement choices, and the small chunks that make speech feel natural.

That is why Flovingo treats review as part of the grammar mission loop. After a learner completes exercises, useful practice can return later as a compact due-review session.

What gets reviewed?

The app reviews concrete exercises the learner has already answered. That matters because exercises are observable: we know what the learner built, typed, heard, or selected.

  • Sentence construction can return to strengthen a useful sentence frame.
  • Audio dictation can return to reconnect sound and form.
  • Pattern tables and sentence stacks can return when a form choice needs more automaticity.
  • Contextual transfer can return so the learner practices from meaning, not only from a rule.

Review should not become a second dashboard

Flovingo keeps review as a clear next action. If practice is due, the app can show a compact badge or entry point near the learner’s mission path. The learner should not need to manage a complicated review system.

The product principle

Review is most useful when it brings back language the learner can use. The new Flovingo path is built around that principle: learn a mission, use the pattern, and revisit it before it fades.
